The QUINTET FIGHT NIGHT 7 in TOKYO will be held at Korakuen Hall on Tuesday, July 13. This tournament for the lightweight category will have the total weight of each team's five members be within 360kg. The four teams TEAM SAKURABA (tentative), TEAM WOLF, TEAM BRAVE GYM, and TEAM TRI-FORCE, will be participating in this tournament.
TEAM SAKURABA (tentative) is made up of fighters selected by General Producer Sakuraba himself. Daisuke Nakamura, Shotaro Debana, and Tomoshige Sera were chosen this time. These three members have been fighting on different QUINTET teams but have come together to form the dream "Armbar Trio," featuring three of the best armbar grapplers. The remaining two members are currently being decided.

"Since it's going to be a lightweight tournament this time, I won't be able to participate, but I wanted to gather my favorite fighters so that TEAM SAKURABA can win the tournament. The three I selected this time (Nakamura, Debana, and Sera) all embody the style I want to see. They always aggressively aim for an Ippon win, so I'm looking forward to seeing them fight. TEAM WOLF, which lost to TEAM CARPE DIEM by flag decision after a fierce battle in QUINTET FN5, will come back with Michihiro Omigawa as team leader and the same members. It's the first time for QUINTET to have the exact same team returning to challenge for the second time. Let's look forward to seeing if they can achieve their long-awaited victory this second time around.

TEAM TRI-FORCE is appearing in a QUINTET team-based tournament for the first time and consists of members from Tri-force, one of Japan's leading jiu-jitsu academies on par with CARPE DIEM. World No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu champion Nobuhiro Sawada will be heading the team, joined by Kazuhiro Suzuki, who competed in QUINTET's Akita tournament as a member of TEAM SAKURABA. Let's look forward to seeing how their fights unfold with the QUINTET rules.
