Some revised QUINTET rules will take effect from QUINTET FN6 on March 12th. More options for positions will be available when resuming a match after receiving a penalty.

Last time at QUINTET FN5, the existing side back position and knee-on-belly positions were added as options for positions when resuming fights after receiving a penalty. The mounted position and side position are also being added from FN6 onwards. The attacking fighter must quickly choose from the four positions to resume the fight.

These new positions were added to clarify that a Shido is for reluctant players and the position when the fight resumes is a penalty for the player who received the Shido, giving the defender an increased disadvantage and the attacker a position with an advantage.

The impact of adding the mounted and side positions as options for the attackers to the revised rules will be quite significant. Let's look forward to even more combative matches in the future!

The match-ups for QUINTET's first-ever three-way playoff will be decided by drawing lots on the day of the tournament. Let's look forward to discovering the match-ups at the event.
